Directory Listings Policy
In short: Sehtak's directory is compiled from publicly available information about healthcare facilities in the UAE. A listing is not an endorsement. A provider can claim their listing, request corrections, or ask to be removed. Because listings are factual, public-interest business information, some entries may remain even when unclaimed. This policy explains how listings work and how to reach us.
1. How facilities appear in the directory
1.1 Sehtak maintains a directory of healthcare facilities in the United Arab Emirates — clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, imaging centres, and wellness and related providers. The directory is compiled from publicly available sources, such as public business information, publicly published contact details, maps and open web sources.
1.2 A facility appears in the directory because it is a real, publicly identifiable business, not because it has any relationship with Sehtak. Listings are added and maintained by Sehtak; a provider does not need to sign up to appear, and appearing is free.
1.3 Because directory content comes from public sources, it may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors. Details such as name, address, hours, phone number, services and specialties can change without notice.
2. A listing is not an endorsement
2.1 A listing is a factual directory entry. It is not a recommendation, referral, endorsement, partnership, or a warranty by Sehtak of the provider or of the quality, safety, legality, licensing or suitability of any care, product or service.
2.2 Providers listed in the directory are independent third parties and are not employed, endorsed, licensed, supervised or controlled by Sehtak. See section 5 of the Terms of Service and the Medical Disclaimer.
3. Listing states: unclaimed, claimed, Verified
3.1 A listing can be in one of three states:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Unclaimed | Compiled by Sehtak from public sources; no representative of the facility has claimed or confirmed it. Most listings are unclaimed. Details should be treated as public information that may be out of date. |
| Claimed | A representative of the facility has contacted Sehtak, shown they are authorized to act for it, and taken responsibility for maintaining the listing's details. Claiming does not imply any endorsement by Sehtak. |
| Verified | In addition to being claimed (or reviewed), Sehtak has taken steps to confirm certain listing details. See section 4. |
3.2 The state is shown on the listing. Where no "Verified" badge appears, the listing has not been verified by Sehtak.
4. The "Verified" badge
4.1 A "Verified" badge appears only after Sehtak has itself taken steps to confirm certain details of a listing. It is a limited administrative signal that we checked those details at a point in time.
4.2 The badge is not: a clinical or quality endorsement; a certification of a provider's licensing, accreditation or standards; a guarantee that details remain accurate; or an endorsement of any kind. It is granted by Sehtak on its own criteria and can be added, withheld or removed at Sehtak's discretion.
4.3 As of the effective date of this policy, no "Verified" badge has been granted to any listing. When verification is offered, the criteria will be applied consistently and the badge shown only where those steps have been completed.
5. Requesting a correction
5.1 If any detail in a listing is wrong or out of date — name, address, phone number, hours, services, specialties, or the operating status — anyone can ask us to correct it.
5.2 In the app: open the provider, then Report incorrect information, and tell us what is wrong and what it should be. Or email support@sehtak.ae with the facility name, the listing location, the incorrect detail, and the correct detail.
5.3 For corrections that are factual and low-risk (for example a changed phone number or hours), we update the listing once we are reasonably satisfied the correction is accurate. For changes that affect who controls a listing, or that remove information, we may ask for proof of authority (section 6) or proof supporting the change.
6. Claiming a listing
6.1 A person authorized to act for a facility (for example an owner, manager, or an authorized representative) can claim its listing to take responsibility for its details.
6.2 To claim a listing, contact support@sehtak.ae (or use the in-app support flow) with: the facility name and listing location; your name and role; and reasonable proof that you are authorized to act for the facility — for example a trade licence, an email from the facility's official domain, or verification of an official contact number. We may ask for additional proof before acting.
6.3 Once a claim is accepted, we will work with you to keep the listing accurate. Claiming does not create any partnership with, or endorsement by, Sehtak, and does not by itself grant a "Verified" badge.
7. Requesting removal
7.1 An authorized representative of a facility can request that its listing be removed. Contact support@sehtak.ae with the facility name, the listing location, and proof of authority as in section 6.2, together with the reason for removal (for example, the facility has permanently closed, or you do not wish to be listed).
7.2 We will consider each request in good faith. Where a facility has closed, or where we are reasonably satisfied a removal request is legitimate, we will remove or update the listing within a reasonable period. Where a listing consists only of factual, publicly available business information, we may instead correct it or mark it (for example as "permanently closed") rather than remove every trace — see section 8.
7.3 We will always remove a listing where we are legally required to do so, or where keeping it would be unlawful.
8. Retention of factual listing data
8.1 The directory is a public-interest resource that helps people find healthcare in the UAE. Basic, factual business information about a facility — such as its name, category, area and public contact details — is the kind of information that is publicly available and of legitimate interest to the public.
8.2 For that reason, Sehtak may retain and continue to display factual listing information even where a listing is unclaimed, or where a removal request is not accompanied by a valid legal basis for erasure — while still correcting inaccuracies and honouring valid requests. We balance a provider's request against the public interest in an accurate, useful directory, and we comply with applicable UAE law.
8.3 Listing information is business information about a facility. It is not the personal health data of any patient — that data never leaves the user's device (see the Privacy Policy).
9. Reviews and review disputes
9.1 Reviews and ratings are the opinions of users, not Sehtak's assessment. Review writing is currently disabled in the app; the reviews shown are read-only.
9.2 If a review about your facility breaks our content rules — for example it is fake, defamatory, contains a patient's personal or health details, or is not based on genuine first-hand experience — you can dispute it. Email support@sehtak.ae with the facility name, a link to or description of the review, and why you believe it breaks the rules in the Acceptable Use Policy or section 10 of the Terms.
9.3 We review disputes in good faith and may remove, label or keep a review based on our content rules. We do not remove reviews simply because a provider disagrees with an honest opinion, but we do act on rule-breaking content.
10. How to reach us and response times
10.1 Corrections, claims, removals and review disputes go to support@sehtak.ae, or through Help & Support in the app. Give us enough detail — and, where relevant, proof of authority — for us to act.
10.2 We acknowledge and act on requests within a reasonable period. Straightforward factual corrections are usually quick; requests that need proof of authority, or that involve a dispute, take longer. We will let you know if we need more information.
