Acceptable Use Policy
In short: use Sehtak honestly and for your own personal, lawful purposes. Do not scrape or bulk-copy the directory, attack or overload the Service, post fake or harmful content, or misuse anyone's data. Breaking these rules can get your access removed. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Purpose and scope
1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") sets out what you may and may not do with the Sehtak app and the pages published at this address (the "Service"). It applies to everyone who uses the Service, including guests, and it forms part of the Terms of Service. Words defined there have the same meaning here.
1.2 The examples in this Policy are illustrations, not a complete list. Conduct that is not listed can still breach this Policy if it is dishonest, harmful, or unlawful.
2. General standard
2.1 Use the Service honestly, respectfully, for your own personal and non-commercial use, and in compliance with all applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and any other law that applies to you.
2.2 Do not use the Service in any way that could harm Sehtak, its users, the providers listed in the directory, or the public, or that could damage, disable or impair the Service.
3. Prohibited conduct — the Service and its data
3.1 You must not:
- Scrape or harvest. Use crawlers, bots, scrapers, or any automated or manual method to extract, copy, index or collect the directory or any substantial part of the Service. Example: running a script that pages through provider listings to build your own database.
- Bulk-copy or republish. Reproduce, redistribute, sell, licence or commercially exploit directory data or other Service content without our written permission. Example: exporting listings into a spreadsheet and selling or publishing it.
- Create derivative directories. Use the Service or its data to build, train, populate or improve a competing directory, dataset or model.
- Frame or mislabel. Frame, mirror, or present the Service or its content as your own or in a misleading way.
4. Prohibited conduct — security and integrity
4.1 You must not:
- Attack or overload. Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or degrade the Service or its servers and networks — for example by denial-of-service traffic, flooding, or sending malformed requests.
- Break in. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, data, or non-public part of the Service, or to another user's or provider's data.
- Probe or bypass. Scan, probe or test the vulnerability of the Service, or defeat, avoid or circumvent any authentication, rate limit, access control, or other security or usage measure.
- Tamper. Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app, its API traffic, its tokens, or any protection mechanism, except to the limited extent the law expressly allows.
- Introduce malware. Upload or transmit any virus, worm, malware, or harmful code, or use the Service to distribute any of these.
4.2 Good-faith security research: if you believe you have found a security vulnerability, do not exploit it or access other people's data — report it privately to support@sehtak.ae and give us a reasonable chance to respond.
5. Prohibited conduct — content and reviews
5.1 When you submit any content — reviews, reports, support messages or feedback — you must not submit content that:
- is false, misleading, or a fake, paid or incentivized review, or a review of a provider you have no genuine first-hand experience of;
- is defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful;
- infringes anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or other rights;
- is spam, advertising, or an attempt to manipulate ratings or search results; or
- impersonates any person or provider, or misrepresents your connection to one.
5.2 Reviews are currently read-only in the app. When writing is enabled, these rules apply, and Sehtak may moderate, label or remove content under section 10 of the Terms.
6. Prohibited conduct — other people's data
6.1 You must not submit, publish or misuse another person's personal or health information without a lawful basis and their consent. In particular, do not post a patient's identity, condition, or any clinical detail in a review or other public content.
6.2 Only keep family or dependent information in your on-device passport where you are entitled to (see section 9 of the Terms). Do not use the Service to collect or profile other people.
7. Prohibited conduct — accounts and identity
7.1 You must not: create an account with false details or someone else's phone number; share, sell or transfer your account; operate accounts in a coordinated or automated way to abuse the Service; or evade a suspension or ban.
7.2 Keep your device and phone number secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account by anyone with access to your unlocked device.
8. Automated access and rate limits
8.1 The Service is for interactive, human use through the official app. Automated access, and any use that ignores or defeats our rate limits, is not permitted except under a separate written agreement with Sehtak.
8.2 We operate technical protections — including rate limiting, request validation, and abuse detection — and we may block, throttle or deny requests that appear automated, abusive, or unsafe.
9. Enforcement
9.1 If you breach this Policy, Sehtak may take any action it considers appropriate and proportionate, with or without notice, including: removing or labelling content; issuing a warning; applying rate limits or technical restrictions; suspending or permanently terminating your account or access; and preserving and disclosing information where required by law or to protect the Service, its users or the public.
9.2 Serious or unlawful conduct may be reported to the competent authorities. Enforcement action does not limit any other right or remedy available to Sehtak under the Terms or the law.
10. Reporting a violation
10.1 To report abuse, a security concern, a harmful review, or misuse of data, email support@sehtak.ae, or use Menu → Help & Support in the app. Include enough detail for us to find and assess the issue. We review reports and act within a reasonable period.
10.2 To report an inaccurate or improper directory listing specifically, see the Directory Listings policy.
